Bible Studies

Each course takes you behind the scenes to understand how the text would have been interpreted in the 1st Century. That means we’re going to look at the all of the Bible, we’ll see what Jewish sages said, and we will get into historical and cultural background of the text.

Some of these Bible studies are online so that you can study at your own pace whenever you want to.  But the majority of the them are in person in Rapid City.

We cover quite a bit of material but it is broken down into bite-size pieces so that you’re not overwhelmed. We want you to be enriched, so we always talk about the text, the Jewish context and historical background – which is a Messianic Jewish framework.

• Needless Casualties of War is a series at 12:30pm, right after Shabbat services. Feel free to come just for the class. It is based on a book by the same name. It is important that we pray correctly and we not unwittingly take the focus off God and put it on Satan. It is easy to shift focus away from God and we want to avoid doing that. “We battle not against flesh and blood…”
• The Beginning of Wisdom: Is the Torah Club series. We meet as a small group in Rapid City. Register for Rapid City’s Torah Club at TorahClub.org. Choose either the Sunday 2:30pm or  Tuesday at 6:30pm Torah Club.  A new series called “Unrolling the Scroll” begins late October.
